To undertake specialist inspections including, Detailed VRS, Drainage and Geotechnical Inspections on the trunk road network in accordance with the Welsh Government Trunk Road Maintenance Manual (WG-TRMM) and Welsh Government Integrated Roads Information System (IRIS) requirements. These posts will provide opportunity for further education to ONC, HNC and potentially degree level in civil engineering on a day release basis.

Frequently work hours which are outside normal hours as required.
5 GCSE’s (Grade C or above) or equivalent qualifications.
English & Mathematics required
Experience in Highway Inspection and or maintenance
Ability to work under own initiative and as a part of a team.
Well developed communication skills, both oral and writing.
Good organisational skills.
Creativity and problem solving skills.
Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations.
IT skills use of Microsoft Office suite of programs including Word and Excel
Current Driving Licence
The ability to speak English is essential and Welsh desirable for this role.
